Subject: zope 2.1.4-2 daemon start error: dedent issue
After apt-get upgrading to zope 2.1.4-2, my system failed when restarting the zope daemon with the following error:
Starting Zope...inconsistent dedent
File "/usr/sbin/zope-z2", line 571
else:
^
SyntaxError: invalid token
failed.
To get things up and running, I chec /usr/sbin/zope-z2, and sure enough, the else statement on that line is dedented one space less than it should be...
elif type(UID) == type(1):
uid = pwd.getpwuid(UID)[2]
gid = pwd.getpwuid(UID)[3]
else: # COMMENT ADDED BY KENZOID: THIS LINE IS DEDENTED ONE SPACE TOO FEW
raise KeyError
try:
When I evened things up, the daemon started fine.
Good luck!!
Ken
